Villa underfloor heating. Loop layout and manifold distribution across all levels.

Villa underfloor heating

Underfloor heating for a three-story villa. Heat loss was calculated room by room with the U-value method, for 18–22 °C indoors against a 2 °C outdoor design temperature. Loops are zoned onto four manifolds placed per floor, serving single- and dual-room zones, and the full circuit is modeled in Revit.

Boiler room and pump station

The mechanical room for the same villa: a wall-mounted plant with a boiler, buffer and expansion vessel, a domestic hot water calorifier, and six circulator branches feeding the heating circuits. The boiler is sized to the space heating and calorifier demand with a safety margin, and each circulation pump is sized from its loop's flow rate and friction-loss pressure drop.

Reverse osmosis water treatment plant

Water systems for a 32-unit, eight-floor residential building of 128 occupants. Domestic water is sized to UPC fixture-unit demand. An RO plant with three-stage treatment (chlorination, filtration, UV post-treatment) runs a fixed six-hour batch cycle that covers the full daily demand, filling a ground-level buffer tank with rooftop booster distribution. Sizing calculations were built in an Excel workbook.

Sewage and wastewater treatment

For the same 128-occupant building: independent sewage (activated sludge) and wastewater (aeration) treatment trains, both sized to full occupancy. The treatment tank is modeled with its aeration diffuser grid, blower, settling compartment, submersible pump and the chemical dosing and inlet piping around it.
